Warranty

Preface

If you have any problem with your Fiber Optic Splicing Trailer during the first year or 1,000 hours of operation, call the Parts & Service Department at 877-775-4246 or 618-533-9011 for assistance before contacting your CM&F Authorized Service Center or other repair facility.  Please have the serial number available when you call.  Centralia Machine & Fab, Inc. will coordinate the necessary repairs.  If you are in an area not covered by an Authorized Service Center, we will work with a local vendor of your choice provided he/she receives warranty authorization from CM&F prior to initiating any repairs.

Warranty

All Fiber Optic Splicing Trailers are sold with a one year or 1,000 hour warranty.  This warranty is nontransferable.  The warranty covers the cost of parts and labor for any factory defects in workmanship or materials, providing the equipment has been used and serviced in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.

This warranty covers trailers located in the United States only.  Trailers exported will be supported in the following manner: Any replacement parts will be sent to a U.S. location for forwarding by the end user at their expense. Labor will not be covered except items included in the trailer, i.e.: engines, generators, pumps etc that may have their own warranty that supercedes the trailer warranty.

The warranty does not include travel time, mileage, towing fees, or labor for the removal or replacement of items stored in the trailer which must be removed to gain access to the defective component.

Many of the components are warranted by their several manufacturers (such as engines, generators, compressors, etc.). In the event of failure of one of these components, CM&F will make the decision as to whether the repair shall be done at the manufacturer’s service center or an authorized CM&F service center.  If the trailer is located in a city with an authorized CM&F service center, warranty repair work is to be done by that facility. CM&F will pay warranty for repairs done at non-authorized service centers only if CM&F is contacted prior to commencement of repairs.

All parts or components returned to CM&F shall be shipped with transportation prepaid.  Nothing is to be returned for credit without prior authorization.  Parts considered defective will be replaced upon request and will be invoiced as purchased, subject to credit when the parts are received at CM&F and found to be defective.

This warranty applies only to original defects.  Normal wear, abuse of equipment, accidents, and negligence are not covered.  If a non-authorized service center repairs or alters a trailer in such a way that affects the function or reliability of the trailer, the warranty on the trailer or component in question will be void.  CM&F retains the sole judgment as to what constitutes normal wear, abuse, negligence, and non-authorized repairs.
